Choose from a variety of finial styles, from simple to decorative, to customize your rod. Most finials screw in the rod end with a threaded stud. Keep in mind that finials add length to the rod and are sold individually. You can also filter for finials that fit your rod diameter.
While stainless steel is ~20% lighter than steel, they share similar strength characteristics. Stainless steel is typically a great option for two reasons: 1) you would like the Brushed Stainless or Glossy Brass finish, or 2) your hardware will be installed in a wet or salty air environment, such as outdoors or near the beach (stainless steel is more corrosion resistant than steel). Note that all powder coated finishes besides Glossy Brass will look identical on both materials.
Finials are sold individually. Typically, you'll need two for each Rod with Finials. We sell them separately to allow for full rod customization (e.g., a finial on one rod end and a French return on the other end).
Since many finials are not available for every rod diameter, you can use the product filters to easily identify which finials are available for your rod diameter.
Yes, finials add length to rods. Finial lengths can be found on each product page. For example, if you order a 90" long rod and two Disc finials (each with a 1/2" length), the total end-to-end length will be 91".
Most finials screw into a thread connector pre-installed in the rod end with a 5/16"-18 threaded stud. Directional finials, such as the Cube, Square Collar, and Fleur de Lis, will be secured on the rod with a set screw.
There is no industry standard for finial attachment or thread sizing, and as such, our finials and rods may not be easily compatible with those from another manufacturer.
