Customize your brackets with confidence—our high-strength options are built to stay strong and secure. Select your bracket style to begin. Choose from wall mount, ceiling mount, bypass, and double rod options. Contact us if you need a bracket clearance over 6".
Each bracket comes with wood screws (#8 x 2”) for secure mounting into studs and headers. If you need to mount into hollow drywall, plaster, or other surfaces, you can purchase heavy-duty SnapToggle anchors here.
While stainless steel is ~20% lighter than steel, they share similar strength characteristics. Stainless steel is typically a great option for two reasons: 1) you would like the Brushed Stainless or Glossy Brass finish, or 2) your hardware will be installed in a wet or salty air environment, such as outdoors or near the beach (stainless steel is more corrosion resistant than steel). Note that all powder coated finishes besides Glossy Brass will look identical on both materials.
Very strong! A bracket with a common 3" clearance can support up to 30 lbs before starting to deflect (Loop, Post, M1, and M2 brackets are even stronger). Clearance is the distance from the wall to the back of the rod (or ceiling to top of rod for ceiling mount brackets). Note that strength decreases as clearance increases. For example, a 5" clearance can support ~12 lbs and a 7" clearance can support ~5 lbs before starting to deflect. If you need a long clearance to support more weight, we can add support arms to Standard and Center style brackets by special request (+$20 per bracket).
3" is the most common clearance (distance from wall to back of rod). This typically works well if your trim does not project more than 1" from the wall. We can customize clearances to 1/4" for your specific situation with a minimum of 1" and maximum of 8". Please contact us if you require a clearance outside of that range. In the case of ceiling mount brackets, 1 1/2" is the minimum clearance.
Rods with Finials: Any bracket besides a Post or Socket bracket is suitable. Rods with French Returns: Include 2 Post brackets plus additional middle support brackets needed based on rod length. Wall-to-Wall Mount Rods: Include 2 Socket brackets plus additional middle support brackets as needed.
Bypass brackets are precision-fabricated to work with our C-Rings, allowing curtains to slide past the bracket. This is often helpful for long spans and one-way draws that require middle support(s). Please note that mixing bypass brackets and C-Rings from different manufacturers typically does not work well.
There are two main considerations for double brackets. The first is rod diameter: you typically want the back rod diameter to be 3/4" or 1" to reduce weight. It is most common to use a 3/4" diameter as a back rod and a 1" or 1 1/4" diameter as a front rod. The second consideration is clearances: we recommend a minimum of 1 1/2" between rods to allow panels to operate smoothly. A common back rod clearance is 2 1/4" while a common front rod clearance is 4 1/2" to 5". Clearance is the distance from the wall to the back of each rod.
If using our Rods with Finials and our Rings, you should not expect your rods to shift. We recommend periodically wiping Pledge or a similar furniture polish on the tops of the rods to make them even slicker. Rods may get pulled if your panels are very heavy or if you are using grommet rings. By special request, we can add set screws to Standard Single/Double, Center Single/Double, and Loop brackets (+$5 per bracket) to lock the rods in place.
All mounting holes are 1/4" diameter. We include #8 x 2" wood screws with every bracket. These should only be installed into wood such as a stud, header, or post. High strength SnapToggles are available for purchase and are excellent for mounting into hollow drywall or plaster.
