Rods Checklist

→ If ordering rods for use with Finials, did you include 2 Finials (one for each end)?. Finials are sold individually.

→ If ordering Wall-to-Wall Mount rods, did you include 2 Socket brackets (one to mount each end)?. Also, does the rod length reflect the wall-to-wall measurment less 7/8"?  This deduction accounts for the depth of the socket brackplates and a bit of wiggle room.

→ If ordering rods with French Returns, did you include 2 Post brackets (one to support each end)?. Post brackets are sold individually.

Please note: Rods will be spliced when length exceeds 93”. You may elect to splice 1 ¼” and 1 ½” diameter rods in segments up to 105” for an additional shipping charge of $150. Internal splice connectors are included. Please contact us for custom splicing requests.

Brackets Checklist

→ How many brackets do you need?

For any rod, you'll need at least one bracket on each end. You'll also need a bracket to support each splice point if your rod is spliced, as well as the middle of an unspliced rod that exceeds its maximum suggested span between brackets.

Examples: A 1" diameter rod has a maximum suggested span of 90" between brackets based on total weight of 10 lbs per span.  While a rod length of 93" will not be spliced, a middle bracket is recommended. A rod length of 160" will be spliced in half and requires a middle bracket.

Corner and 3-Sided rods will need at least one bracket near each corner.  If your draperies are heavy, consider a bracket on each side of the corner.

→ Do you need Bypass brackets and C-rings?

You need bypass brackets and C-rings if you want to slide a drapery panel past a bracket. For example, may need a center bracket, but wish to stack all of your panels on one end of the rod. Or, you may have draperies on the left and right closing to the middle, but the length of your rod requires more than one middle bracket.

Rings Checklist

→ Did you select the proper ring size?

Rings should typically be 1/2" larger than the rod size, such as a 1 1/2" ring with a 1" diameter rod. You can use rings that are only 1/4" larger than the rod in most cases, so long as you do not have Mitered returns or Bypass brackets.

→ How many rings do you need?

You'll typically place a ring every 5" to 7" on the curtain.

→ Are you using C-rings?

If so, make sure you are using Bypass brackets, and the C-ring indicated for your rod size.
