A Heavy Duty Splice is an extra strong splice (adds $50 per joint) that is strong enough to be unsupported by a bracket. The seam is visible but it is a very minimal, clean, hairline seam that is hardly noticeable from a distance.
With this option, you can achieve the following:
- 1 1/4" rods: Up to 105" in between brackets (210" with only one middle bracket)
- 1 1/2" rods: Up to 120" in between brackets (240" with only one middle bracket)
- 2" rods: Up to 135" in between brackets (270" with only one middle bracket)
